In case i need to dig this up one day.
Basic alignment: Chaotic Good. As a self-styled vigilante, Aiden pursues his own method of justice in an effort to atone for the death of his niece. He’s not particularly selective about what types of criminals he goes after (anything as low as purse snatchers to as high as a mob boss), but his actions vary depending on who he’s dealing with: from simple incapacitation to murder.
Strengths and Weaknesses:
Strengths: “So many people trying to catch you, including myself. You’ve been more elusive than we anticipated.”—Lucky Quinn to Aiden Pearce
After all he’s been through in his life, Aiden is a hardened individual. In dangerous situations he’s able to keep his head and be cool and collected, as well as adapt to changing situations on the fly. It’s a testament to his experience and skills he’s acquired in his life that he’s able to escape situations in which he’s against insurmountable odds, such as when he storms the Merlaut to kill Quinn. His determination in these scenarios is an asset to getting the job done, as well as his ingenuity in working with whatever he has at hand (using lures to distract guards, creating an artificial black out etc.).
Unlike a stereotypical street thug, Aiden is also quite clever. According to Damien he learned hacking quite quickly, and he’s also invested time and money into psychology for intimidation tactics and the like. Aiden knows how to present himself to be seen as a threat and be taken seriously, which often makes him appear cold and calculated. Given the time, Aiden is also a logical planner, making sure all his bases are covered, with back-ups just in case, such as his numerous hideouts throughout Chicago.
Aiden is also a character who is able to put the ends before the means, putting himself in scenarios others might balk at in order to succeed. Over the course of the game he gets himself arrested on purpose, and goes undercover as an European businessman, even though both situations made him incredibly vulnerable. In this way he has immense strength and never loses sight of his goal, much like his namesake (Aiden means fire walker in Old Irish).
Weaknesses: ” You know, the real tragedy here is that somebody like you is surrounded by so many fragile things. It makes you fragile.” – Damien Brenks to Aiden Pearce
Aiden has one gigantic glaring weakness: his family. He’s been through a lot, grew up on the streets, but even as a kid he took the hits so his family was protected. As he grew older it even extended to him distancing himself from them, so as to not put them in harm’s way due to his occupation (though in the end, he could never distance himself for too long). For a man with a plethora of physical and mental strengths, his family is the one weakness he can never fully cover. That doesn’t stop him from trying though, as he has numerous surveillance systems set up at his Nicky’s house, unbeknownst to her.
Endangering his family in fact, triggers one of his other weaknesses: vengefulness to a fault. After Lena died as a result of the Merlaut job, Aiden channeled all of his energy into trying to correct that wrong by becoming a street vigilante. Later that energy is channeled into finding who ordered the hit on him, and tying up all the loose ends that were involved. Systematically Aiden attacks Blume, Iraq, and Quinn, not stopping until they’re dead or completely exposed. His vengeance is so strong, so obsessive, that even Nicky begging him to stop does nothing. His mind becomes one track, and he makes many reckless and dangerous decisions in the name of his self-perceived justice and vengeance, despite his typical cool nature.
Though Aiden can work with others, he’s also fairly independent, and a bit old fashioned. He’s hesitant to work with BadBoy17 at first, and assumes that she must be a man—underestimating Clara in the process. Eventually she gains his trust (and a relationship), but it takes a long time for him to trust her. In a similar fashion he completely underestimates T-bone as a drunken hippy, and winds up at the end of a stun gun for it. Though he does eventually work with a fair amount of people over Watch Dogs, he is prone to dropping off the grid (as Jordi remarks during the game), and in the Bad Blood DLC he even ignores T-Bones calls for a while.
Skills and Abilities: Hacking: Though Aiden isn’t a hacking prodigy, he is pretty damn good at it. Most security and encryption Aiden can break given the time, and he’s incredibly resourceful when it comes to finding ways into back doors.
Fighting/Combat: Even though his mother took him and his sister from Ireland to escape their father’s rough ways, Aiden grew up on the street anyway. Growing up he joined a gang, and paid others to learn numerous fighting techniques and how to fire multiple types of guns. His fighting style is a mix of martial arts and street fighting techniques, and he has above average agility and reflexes.
Infiltration: Whether it be pure stealth infiltration or posing as someone else, Aiden’s good at finding cover and blending in. He’s gone undercover to infiltrate a human smuggling ring, as well as infiltrated cTOS ( a government facility) buildings to gain access.
Motives: First and foremost, his family. While Aiden is a strong person (both mentally and physically), he cares immensely for his sister and his nephew; anyone who threatened them in any way would be immediately on his hit list.
His family aside, Aiden also has a strong sense of personal justice, and has killed for it, and would kill again. While it’s not black and white (he works with some Fixers like Jordi), the absolute worst (in his view) people deserve to pay for what they did. Examples include high ranking mob officials, human traffickers, kidnappers, and other fixers themselves. In the latter case it’s not really personal (most of the time), just business and survival. All in all, he epitomizes a grey hat hacker, who follows his own moral code.

Its been a few days since I’ve been brought here. At first I thought it was Blume, some kind of new experiment for them with cTOS. But “KingMaker”? Not even Blume is that tacky. Can’t be Damien, unless he’s lost what’s left of his mind with his leg. Even so, it’s not his style either. He loves to brag, love to show off: he’d flaunt it if this was his handiwork. The other option is DedSec, and while they love that whole mysterious anonymous vibe, there’s no motive for them to kidnap a group of strangers like this and pit them against themselves. Goes against their whole “noble” cause of for the people, destroy the establishment.
Speaking of people, there’s a whole variety of them here. At first I thought I walked into some kind of cosplay convention, with all the bright hair colors and outfits. But they actually claim that they’re from some other world-- some of them haven’t even heard of Earth, let alone Chicago. Either they’re really dedicated, insane, or they’re actually telling the truth. Not sure which one of those options is more disturbing, but I guess I have to entertain all of those notions for now. At least until I can get to the bottom of this and find out why were really here: I don’t buy the whole apocalypse thing.
The sooner I get out of here, the better: I’ve got to make sure Nicky and Jacks are still safe.
